Our polyurethane injection systems carries the BIX Lifetime-Plus
Warranty!
Leaks in concrete structures have been a problem
for homeowners and commercial buildings since concrete was first
used. Now there is a product that surpasses all other methods of
repair! A special polyurethane resin is injected into the concrete
crack or hole under high pressure expanding to fill the void.
Polyurethane injection can be performed from the negative side
without digging and without access to the water side. This method
provides a waterproof seal through the entire width of the concrete,
not just a surface patch. Polyurethane Injection can also be used
to seal cold joints and expansion joints. Since polyurethane is
water activated, injecting it into a crack achieves a superior
bond to wet surfaces. This special polyurethane resin is an effective
water cut-off system even when water seepage is present. It has
the advantages of deep penetration into very small cracks in concrete,
no shrinkage, has good elasticity to tolerate concrete expansion
and contraction, and tolerates unavoidable debris due to very low
viscosity.
How the system works
- Injection holes are drilled at an angle to intersect the
crack halfway into the wall.
- An injection port is inserted
into the drilled hole.
- Polyurethane resin is injected (up to 2,000 psi) through
the ports into the crack.
- The polyurethance expands and seals
the crack.
